Football star, Graham Savoy, has always been too busy for love, but when he comes home to Notting Hill for Christmas, he changes his mind after meeting the one person who has no idea who he is.
I love London, and especially London at Christmastime, so I was excited when I saw the title of this movie. On the flip side, I wasn't sure about one of the main characters being a soccer star. It's always a little dicey when professional athletes are involved since it's so hard to make it seem realistic.
Turns out I was right - the London scenery and activities were great while the soccer was laughable. Luckily, the majority of the movie is just the 2 main characters hanging out around London. I thought Sarah Ramos (who I recognized from Parenthood), and William Moseley (who I recognized from the Royals), did a good, not great job.
Overall, it was an enjoyable movie but I'm not going out of my way to rewatch it.
