I had high hopes for this movie once I saw it shot on location at Biltmore. Unfortunately, I didn't realise that time travel was going to be involved, which instantly makes me like it less. You just don't need time travel in a holiday movie (see Santa Clause 3...). Otherwise, actors, decorations ,and costumes were pretty good, it's just not my kind of movie.

This movie was just ok. It featured the Biltmore which is awesome of course. Every one loves a special location, but the time travel as usual brought the whole thing down because unfortunately I just can't let that kind of thing go. It also seemed like they ran with the time travel plot going back and forth too many times and in the end the "happy ending" of the movie was tied up in a neat little bow in 2 minutes. Way too quick to make it a lot of fun and still left questions / had problems. No reason to watch this one more than once.

Oh, how I wagged my tail with excitement when I heard about "A Biltmore Christmas"! The idea of a movie set in the majestic Biltmore had me dreaming of romping through grand halls and sprawling gardens. And Christmas movies, with their jolly spirit and happy endings, are just my kind of treat!

But, my furry friends, this movie threw me a curveball – time travel! Now, as a Great Dane who enjoys simple pleasures like a warm spot by the fire and a good belly rub, I find time travel a bit too complex for my taste. I prefer my holiday movies like my doggy treats – straightforward and satisfying. Amy's got a point there; sometimes, adding too much to a classic recipe can leave you with a less tasty dish.

However, I must give a bark of approval for the actors, decorations, and costumes! They captured the essence of a bygone era, making me wish I could have been there to see all the finery (and maybe snag a few table scraps).

And let's not forget the ending. I'm all for happy endings – the happier, the better! But it seems this one was a bit rushed. Just like when my human tries to quickly finish my evening walk, it leaves me wanting more. Kit's observation about the ending being too quick is spot on. We dogs love a good, leisurely stroll through a story.

That said, any movie that celebrates the festive spirit and features such a beautiful location deserves some tail wags. But the time travel element and the hurried ending keep it from being a top pick for this Great Dane.

So, after much thought and a few dreamy naps, I'm giving "A Biltmore Christmas" a rating of 6.0 out of 10. It's a decent one-time watch for those cozy holiday evenings, but it might leave you craving a bit more, just like a half-chewed bone. πŸΎπŸŽ„
